Help answer the question about car japanese style

Japanese Style Engines Win. If US Auto Manuf. Make the Same & ADVERTISE as Such, Can They Beat The Competition?
Conventional wisdom is that one can drive a Toyota for at least 250,000 miles but the American car dies when it gets to 100,000 miles. I personally have had the same experience. Let's face it, American auto companies have lost credibility. If they can't beat the competition (the Japanese), can they join them by copying the Toyota/Honda engine, which appears to last longer and has a better reputation? I don't think it's just poor management.

People generally like American car interior and exterior better. Combine that with a Japanese engine, and you have a winner!

Cost is also a factor. The US auto companies need to come up with more Corolla and Nissan Sentra-sized cars.
